TASA VIDEO CONTEST!

TASA video Contest Flyer 1

The epic “Beauty and the Geek” parody of 2007 and the “TWN101” video of 2008 began a tradition within the TASA cabinet to create funny film shorts that promote TASA and/or relate to the Taiwanese American identity. Making videos not only allowed us to bond and create lasting memories as a group, but also allowed us more opportunities to meet other people (nothing starts off a conversation better than “Hey, weren’t you the LARPER guy?”)

So with so many videos attributed to TASA cabinet, we’ve decided that it’s high time to include the rest of our members! It doesn’t matter whether you’re directing, scriptwriting, acting, editing, or watching the finished product – we encourage everyone to be involved, have fun, and to create lasting bonds and memories with TASA.

**TO SUBMIT A VIDEO**

**VIDEO GUIDELINES**

  • Some video ideas: vlog, music video, documentary, how-to video, short story, parody, collage, commercial, you name it! Making a video is easy, you could do it on your camcorder, your webcam, or even the video mode on your digital camera. Let’s get those creative juices flowing!
  • Incorporation or reference to Taiwanese culture in some way…either in the story, dialogue, or shot/frame.
  • Storylines are open to anything as long as there is no inappropriate content (R-rated stuff!)
  • This event is not limited to just TASA members…anyone can sign up and submit a video!
  • There will be a prize for judge’s pick! Winners will be announced at our annual banquet during week 9.

**********************
OUR PREMIERE IS THURSDAY, MAY 21 WHERE WE WILL SCREEN ALL VIDEO SUBMISSIONS. Come out for a fun night of watching videos made by your own TASA members!
