Formosa Foundation Ambassador Program
The Formosa Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2009 Ambassador Program, to be held in Washington D.C. from June 15 through 26, 2009.
The Ambassador Program combines in-house training with on-the-ground activist work. Participants in the Program develop the expertise, analytical framework, and networks they need to effectively promote Taiwan. Student activists learn about the issues affecting U.S.-Taiwan relations.
Up to 30 applicants will be selected for the 2009 Program, including up to 7 recruited from Taiwan. Applicants can be US citizens, permanent residents, or Taiwanese nationals. The Foundation will cover expenses relating to participants’ training, workshops and housing for the duration of the Program.Deadline: March 15, 2009.

Taiwan Tech Trek Program
Taiwan Tech Trek 2009 is a government-sponsored program for overseas Taiwanese youths interested in hands-on internships or research experiences in Taiwan. Internship opportunities will be available at outstanding research institutes or at Taiwan’s famous science parks, national laboratories, and high-tech companies.
TTT2009 is an eight-week program beginning in late June. Up to 200 youths of Taiwanese ancestry ages 18~30 will be recruited from various countries through a selective application process. Interns will participate in a four-day group orientation (June 26~June 29) and thereafter proceed to their designated internship positions throughout the island for seven weeks of internship (June 30~August 16). At the conclusion of the program, interns will present the results of their work at an academic conference.Deadline: Online applications are being accepted from January 29 to February 13, 2009.

Medical Apprenticeship with Taiwan International Medical Alliance (TIMA)
The Taiwan International Medical Alliance (TIMA) offers apprenticeships to Taiwanese-American students and young professionals. Students are given the opportunity to work in Taiwan’s leading medical schools and hospitals in Taipei, Linkou, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung.
Applicants must submit their application together with a recent photo and required documents on-line at least 3 months before starting apprenticeship. The whole application procedure may take 4~6 weeks to complete.http://www.tima.org.tw/English_view/otmsn_project.html#procedure
College of Public Health, National Taiwan University Summer Internship
A 2-month program (July-Sept 2009) sponsored by the International Health Center at the College of Public Health, National Taiwan University (NTUCPH). You will have the opportunity to be at the top university in Taiwan and to work closely with faculty and graduate students in one of the various institutes in NTUCPH.

SDAFF Film Programming Internship
The San Diego Asian Film Foundation (SDAFF) is seeking interns to help develop, plan, schedule, book, market, and publicize film programs for the San Diego Asian Film Festival. This position is ideal for anyone interested in building a career in film and television production or working on Asian American causes. Interns with solid knowledge of Asian and American independent films are preferred.

San Diego Asian Film Foundation Street Team Leader
Becoming part of the San Diego Asian Film Foundation Street Team is one of the best ways to get involved and positively impact the community. Members of the Street Team are primarily volunteers, who proactively promote the Film Foundation and its signature events throughout the year. Street Team Leaders are expected to fulfill all obligations and attend monthly Street Team meetings. Those involved will receive benefits/incentives as well as the ability to help the Film Foundation grow in the San Diego/Southern California region. This is a great chance to meet new people, network, and build your resume.
